(Eng) Spin Off Manga Saint Seiya: Saintia Sho Get Adapted Anime.

The official website of the magazine Akita Shoten 's Champion RED announced on Thursday that it will adapt the manga of Chimaki Kuori spin-off Saint Seiya: Saintia Sho spin-off into an anime. But for the anime series or a movie still has not been announced.

Champion RED itself in the last month has informed there would be an important announcement about Saint Seiya franchise.

This spinoff manga started in the main storyline arc Sanctuary after the defeat Gemini Saga of the original manga, but before the arc Poseidon. However, in the original manga tells the story of a boy named Seiya and the other Saints who struggle to protect the goddess Athena, while the new series tells the story of a woman "Saintia" named Shō the fight against the evil god to protect Athena.

The manga was first released in Champion RED magazine in 2013. Akita Shoten published the eighth volume of the book compiled on June 8, and will publish the ninth on 20 December.

Kuori previous works including Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny: The Edge, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny: The Edge of Desire, and a manga adaptation was Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack movie and Sengoku Basara game.
